The principals of Colina have significant experience in locating, acquiring and managing investment properties for investors.

 

The track record dates back to 1992 and includes more than 32 private investment offerings. This experience provides Colina with the expertise to assess the risks, strengths and weaknesses of targeted properties, and effectively negotiate for the purchase and disposition of properties. Gary R. Beynon, Principal

Mr. Beynon has been an active real estate investor for his own account and along side investors for over 30 years. Mid way in Mr. Beynon’s career, he owned and operated OMNI Brokerage Inc, a broker dealer focused in private Regulation D offerings for multiple-investor ownership. Under his leadership, OMNI Brokerage became one of the largest broker dealers of multiple ownership investment properties. Transactions completed totaled in excess of $4 billion of TIC/DST offerings from 2002 to 2011.

Zachary J. Beynon, Principal

Zach has spent his entire career in commercial real estate investment and development and is a Managing Partner of Colina Real Estate Partners based in Salt Lake City. Recently Zach was a key member and partner of a $150MM real estate private equity fund focused on acquisition and development throughout the western United States.

    Zach joined with his father Gary to form Colina Real Estate Partners, a commercial real estate investment company, carefully matching investor capital needs with commercial real estate investment and development opportunities.
     
  • JR Miller Enterprises/Woodbury Strategic Partners Fund - Senior Associate - 2010 to 2016
    JR Miller Enterprises is a Salt Lake City based family office with diverse holdings in real estate, private enterprise and agriculture. Here Zach was responsible for managing and reporting on a diverse real estate portfolio of several million square feet of office space and the company’s major interest in the more than 10,000 unit apartment portfolio with the Wasatch Group.

    JR Miller was also a Founding General Partner of Woodbury Strategic Partners Fund (WSP), a cash flow focused commercial real estate investment fund. WSP acquired and developed over $500 million of real estate between 2010 – 2014. Zach held significant roles of responsibility with WSP including deal sourcing, underwriting, portfolio asset management and fund operations. Zach invested his own capital and is a partner in the fund.
     
  • Orchard Securities, LLC - 2006 to 2009
    Responsible for fundraising equity capital through high net-worth individuals for private real estate offerings.  Managed multiple relationships with real estate sponsors and independent broker-dealers throughout the United States.
     
  • OMNI Brokerage, Inc. - 2004 to 2006
    Directed the internal operational affairs of the company. Implemented a complex transaction back office system, processed and reviewed all client and trade files, maintained registered rep relations, assisted the controller and monitored compliance with SEC & FINRA regulatory standards.
